Peningkatan Kemampuan Berhitung Siswa Kelas 1 melalui Penerapan Media Pembelajaran Sticky Board di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of first-grade students' numeracy skills through the application of Sticky Board learning media at MI Hidayatun Najah Tuban. The problem underlying this study is the low ability of students to count, especially in addition and subtraction operations, which is caused by the learning process which is still conventional and the lack of use of interesting learning media. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Kemmis and McTaggart model which is implemented in two cycles, where each cycle includes the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 29 students of class 1E MI Hidayatun Najah Tuban. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests, observation, and documentation, while data analysis used qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results of the study showed that the application of Sticky Board media was able to significantly improve students' numeracy skills. This can be seen from the increase in student learning completeness, which in cycle I reached 53.57% and increased in cycle II to 82.14%, thus meeting the minimum completeness criteria set. The use of sticky boards makes the learning process more engaging, interactive, and enjoyable, thereby increasing student participation and motivation. Therefore, sticky boards can be an effective alternative learning medium for improving elementary school students' numeracy skills.
